Purpose/objective

Our purpose is to learn and teach the Islamic belief as was taught by our beloved and Honorable Prophet Muhammad (Sallallahu aleihi wasalaam), His great companions, His highly recognized Muslims Scholars; such as Imam Ashafï, Imam Malik, Imam Abu Hanifa, and Imam Ahmed, and the unquestionable great Muslims Scholars consensus.

We will address the issues & needs of our youth, family, women and children. In addition, we want to, Insha-Allah to promote Harari community affairs. We have developed and, Insha-Allah, will continue to develop a structure to accommodate subcities under the umbrella of the Harar Explorer. We will promote our cultural awareness, maintain our religion, our traditions, and history. We will improve our web site in any way possible. It is our duty and responsibility to teach our children, our young brothers and sisters, the correct and proper Islamic way of life.

We also like to keep in touch with all Hararis around the Globe. In addition, we want to invite all Harari individuals as well as any Harari association, organization, Afoucha, Mugad, Harar National League, Communities, Sports and Cultural Federation, Hatadamu, women's association / Afocha, Masajid Jama'a, etc., to participate in our unique site. By informing us of positive activities, intellectual development, and events in your local areas, with your impute insha-Allah we can accomplish this goal.

Our mission can not be accomplished without your participation and help. We are all aware of this new technology called the internet. This technology is a breakthrough and golden opportunity to let the world know about our Religion, Culture and History. Letting the world know of the Hararis can be possible if we work together and gather all resources available to us. Please feel free to supply us with up-to-date information to help us with this effort on a regular basis.

We need volunteers who are committed and willing to share their knowledge and experience of Harar history and culture. The knowledge and experience you are willing to share will have significant value on our site. We will be able to learn and teach from your information. Your work is for the sake of Allah so there will no personal gain or profit for you as an individual, other than thawab (good deed) if your intention in giving is to gain thawab. The Harari majority will however, gain and profit from exploring our history based on your inputs. They also gain by learning the true religion of Islam.

The information you provide us in your area of expertise such as economics, sociology, education, science, technology, history, and diplomacy, etc. will be greatly appreciated and beneficial in the following manner:

First, for the pleasure of Allah, meaning that what ever we do should be done with the intention to be obedient to Allah and expect the reward from Allah in the next, permanent life. Second, for the betterment of our people religiously, economically, socially, educationally, scientifically and technologically. Third, to re-introduce the ancient and forgotten Harar culture back to the world. Fourth, to resume our historical connection with the outside world.

We also invite all Muslims, and Islamic organizations to work with us. Exchange cultural, and historical experiences and thereby help each other to unite as one umma'a (people) under "La illaha illa Allah wa Muhammadun Rasulullah". We can also work with non Muslim individuals, communities, organizations for mutual respect and exchanging varity of experiences.

We would like to serve as a "think tank" for our country and communities. Providing statistical data and reports on an on-going and as needed basis.

Our Policy is: We are not interested in any controversial issues. However, if it should become necessary, we may research and clarify the issues based on the Qur'an, Ahadith Sahih, and from the consensus of the Scholars in Islam. We are not interested in any form of politics, domestic or foreign.

It's very important to note that the articles posted on our web site do not necessarily reflect our opinion, or position. Those articles will be the sole responsibilities of the poster. As we have stated, we need your help in the following area for our Skill Bank Data Base:
: a) Economist: We need Economists who can provide research, and study materials to be used as a role model for our country's economic structure and policy. The purpose of which is to revive and develop our country's economy in Agriculture, Trade, Industry etc.
: b) Education: We need scholarship information from all over the world: Colleges, universities, and available technical and administrative training. We need student entry requirement information in addition to helping the new student become familiar with a new environment. We need to train Harari teachers back home, and we need to provide them with educational materials for the Harari schools.
: c) Social: We need Social activities to keep in touch with all Hararis all over the world.
: d) Legal: We need Lawyers, judges, persecutors etc. to share with us information on legal issues.
: e) Government officials: We need the experience of both current and former government officials, such as diplomat, cabinet members, military officers, any administrators.
: f) Technology: As we are in the eve of the twenty first century, we lack basic information and high technology in our country. We need Mechanical Engineers, Civil Engineers, Computer Technician, Computer Scientist, Electrical Engineers, Industrial Engineer, Medical Doctors and etc. We need them to provide us with the latest technology.
: g) History: Since our country has a rich, and golden history, we need more of our real history from our own historian.

We have to learn from our past experience, because of various reasons for our inability to write our golden and magnificent history. Now, we have an opportunity to revive our forgotten history, we have laid the foundation, let's build it, maintain it and Insha-Allah Make progress with it, and transfer our rich, comprehensive history to our children and grand children years to come; And be well informed, get connected with fellow Hararis wherever it might be.
